Research Technologist III Northwestern University Lee-Chang Lab
This workshop will introduce the role of B cells in adaptive immunity in the context of cancer. It will highlight the development of Bvax, a novel B-cell-based immunotherapy for glioblastoma that harnesses the effector functions of 4-1BBL+ B cells. Preclinical data demonstrating Bvax’s efficacy will be presented through human in vitro assays and murine in vitro and in vivo studies. The session will also discuss the translational efforts to optimize Bvax as a clinical-ready therapy, including key manufacturing considerations for the development of cGMP-grade cellular immunotherapies.
