Our platform at Expedition Medicines combines covalent chemistry, HTS mass spectrometry, and ML to discover a new generation of small molecule inhibitors for previously undruggable autoimmune targets. This work requires reliable, repeatable cell assays with multiple cytokine readouts in parallel. Here, we detail our experience using the multiplex-compatible Ella system and found that it accelerates drug screening with high quality, consistent results. Our in vivo studies also show Ella provides similar, and often better, sensitivity than traditional cytokine detection from mouse sera.
