Precise regulation of immune cell differentiation is fundamental to the development and maintenance of effective immunity. Dysregulation in this process underlies immune aging, chronic inflammation, and impaired responses to infection and cancer. In the KAI–AKIA Guest Symposium, leading researchers will present recent advances in the mechanisms controlling immune cell fate decisions — including epigenetic modulation, transcriptional control, and receptor-mediated signaling — across various immune cell lineages. By integrating insights from molecular, cellular, and omics-level studies, this symposium aims to deepen our understanding of how immune cell differentiation is orchestrated and how its dysregulation contributes to disease and aging.
